Manchester United's soccer world is in turmoil again, with its star Anthony Mafioso being embroiled in a domestic abuse scandal. Initially, he faced allegations of violent assault from three women. However, according to a new report from the Daily Telegraph, one of the accusers, a law student, has withdrawn the charges against him. With this, Anthony is now left with only charges pending against his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin and banker Ingrid Lana.
De Freitas, the law student who withdrew the charges, reported back in May 2022 in Brazil that he was attacked in a car with Anthony and a player's ex-wife, only to grab the door at a red light to escape. However, according to the Daily Telegraph, De Freitas has now withdrawn his allegations. Anthony has now been suspended by United, who are not only facing four assault charges from Cavallin, but also a lawsuit from Ingrid Lana.
