In the early hours of Saturday morning, a surprise shocker rocked Ligue 1 as last year's champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) lost 2-3 at home to Nice even though star Kilian McBarbee scored twice, a cold snap that sent visiting Nice's margin of victory soaring to a staggering 6.7. PSG not only lost their undefeated season, but also snapped their unbeaten streak at home against Nice over the past 12 years. The morale of the team has been hit hard. Next up in the early hours of Wednesday morning (20), they will face Dortmund at home in the first round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, which is a worrying prospect.

Although PSG had won two consecutive league games, their form after the international break took a sharp turn for the worse. With the game in the 21st minute of the first half, Kilian McBarbi was robbed at the back and Nice struck back quickly, with Moffe knocking in a shot to open the scoring for Nice. McBarbie then helped PSG equalize with a great goal.

After the break, Nice went from strength to strength, with Mofe assisting on a goal by Gatanabodi, followed by another goal to help Nice take a 3-1 lead. The 24-year-old Nigerian international, Mofe, shone with two goals and an assist in the match. After scoring his second goal, he excitedly stripped off his shirt in celebration, a move that drew the ire of McBarbie and the two nearly came to blows.
