In the clash between Chelsea and Bournemouth, both armies are eager to right the ship with a win to start the new season. Bournemouth have had a tough start to the new season and have already played three of the top four sides in the league.
Bournemouth are in a phase of change, so I think the team was able to take advantage of the situation during the national team call-ups and the new manager, Ira Organa, was able to have more time to bond with the players. This is a good opportunity for him to focus more on coaching the team as the players are spread out.
Recently, I had the pleasure of spending time with Ira Organa and was impressed with his management philosophy and personal charisma.
It is obvious that he wants to introduce the tactical concept of high pressing and counter-striking to Bournemouth, and the team needs time to digest this change. Last year he coached Valericano, who was a master of the counter attack, and this season he is aiming to recreate that advantage by playing in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
I am optimistic about the team's new signings such as Jostein Gouwalt and Tanner Adams. Adams' efficiency and desire to attack will be the key for the team to implement the coach's style of play.
A win for Bournemouth would please me. For Chelsea, the game was a must-win. Although the Blues' performance and passing in the game was quite impressive, soccer is all about results, and the final score is the measure of the players and coaches.
Chelsea's last home match against Nottingham Forest was not a good one and the team is eager to bounce back after the national team break. I see Poutchiettinou returning to a more familiar 4-3-3 formation, with Chivier returning to his more comfortable left-back position.
As of now, Staanen is undoubtedly the brightest star in the Chelsea squad. Personally, I'm glad he's back in the swing of things, and that he's resting up after not being selected for the England national team. In 14 games against Bournemouth, Stanning scored 11 goals and won all 14, so I'm not surprised to see him score again.
For me, Chelsea's midfield will be a major point of interest in this match. Injuries to Kani Chukwu Makkar and Ravia have left the midfield with only Ansell Fernandes, Moses Katsidou, Ugo Chukwu and Gunnar Garrincha. In the last week or so, Ansell and Cacido have traveled to South America to complete international matches, and I've seen firsthand how long flights can affect a player's form.
