Although Tottenham Hotspur released goalscorer Harry Carney this summer and were widely believed to have little chance of breaking their pennant drought, the wheels of fate never stop turning. The London side, now second in the Premier League, showed resilience with two wins and a draw in their three league games last month. Manager Pusztigorowski and midfielder James Maddison were named the Premier League's Team Manager and Player of the Month for August, the fourth time in the team's history that they have been honored with both awards in the same month. Tottenham Hotspur have started the season well and the road to recovery seems to be getting clearer.

After two consecutive seasons of winning the Scottish Premier League title with Borussia, Pusztigorowski's move to Tottenham Hotspur was not initially viewed favorably, as the club's recent managerial changes had not resulted in an upturn in fortunes. However, Pusztigorow has shown impressive leadership, and despite only drawing with Brentford in the first round of the Premier League, he went on to beat Man Utd and Portsmouth, and then thrashed Ponty's 5-2 in September, as the team's form has been improving. It's worth noting that Pusdigolu has also been named on the FIFA 2022/23 Coach of the Year shortlist.
