England midfield superstar Mason Mount, 24, who moved from Chelsea to Manchester United during this summer's transfer window, has been on the sidelines since he was injured in mid-August. According to The Athletic, the central midfielder has set his sights on making a comeback in the early hours of Sept. 21 in the UEFA Europa League first-round group stage away to Bayern Munich.
The injury is a hamstring problem, and initially it was expected that the recovery period would be 6 weeks, i.e. until October, before he could return to the United squad. However, the latest news suggests that Mason Monty's injury has improved significantly, and he may even be included in the squad for the Premier League home game against Brighton on the evening of September 16th. However, given the cautious attitude of manager Tannhäuser, it is expected that Mason Mount will not risk his return against Brighton, but is more likely to be saved for the Europa League, where he will make his debut against Bayern Munich.
