Manchester United's former star, Glenwood, was in the spotlight last year for an alleged domestic violence incident. Although the police dropped charges of rape and assault in February this year, United still suspended him for internal investigation. Amidst a series of controversies, United officially announced on Monday (21st) that they had terminated their contract with Glenwood. The results of the investigation showed that although Gullenwood did not commit the charges he initially faced, both sides agreed to end the partnership. Moleno's Roma and Sherratt's Ittifaq are said to have expressed a strong interest in the 21-year-old striker.

In a statement, Manchester United officials explained their considerations in dealing with the matter: In the investigation of the incident against Glenwood, we have taken into full consideration the wishes, rights and views of the alleged victim, as well as the team standards and values of Manchester United. On the basis of the evidence available to us, the club believes that Glenwood did not commit the offense with which he was initially charged. ...... Nevertheless, Glenwood himself acknowledged his mistake and expressed his willingness to take responsibility for his misconduct. After extensive discussions, it was generally agreed that it would be difficult for him to continue in the United team and therefore both parties agreed that parting ways was the most appropriate option.
