Arsenal held a secret warm-up match at the crack of dawn on Friday (18th), resulting in a 3-0 win over Luton. The new goalkeeper David Laye played 60 minutes in the "key game" and shut out the opponents, bringing a challenge to captain Lansdal's position in the starting lineup. Coach Adi Da also said that there will be no distinction between the No. 1 and No. 2 goalkeepers, but only to see who is in good form, good performance, who will wear the official uniform.

Immediately following this, Arsenal will be away to Crystal Palace in the early hours of Tuesday morning (22nd). Taking advantage of the break, the team scheduled a closed-door warm-up match against Luton. The newly fit Xin Zhengao and Rice Nelson both played in the match, while new signing David Laye also played in the match, trying to keep the ball without conceding for 60 minutes. In the end, the "Arsenal" won 3-0, thanks to two goals from Leandro Duchate and a goal from Bukayo Shaka.
