With Ainas star C Long out of action due to injury, Shadio Vinny stepped up to captain the side, meeting Ittifaq's Jordan Henderson in a match that had the air of a Liverpool derby about it. Although the two were once close teammates, the rivalry on the pitch left them each in their own way. Shadio Vinny was the first to break through for Ainas in just the fourth minute of the match. On the changeover, Ittifaq turned the score to 2-1 with goals from Swedish international Ghuechen and striker Dibili, who joined from Lyon.
