With the height of summer fading away, England midfield superstar Alex Chamberlain, in a surprise press conference on Tuesday (15), announced that he will be joining Turkish Super Lig giants Bisidas. The heavy transfer marks another strong move for the Turkish giants in the summer transfer window, and according to reliable sources, the team could be followed by the addition of Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe.
Alex Chamberlain, 30, has resolutely opted to stay in Europe to continue his career after becoming a free agent, despite the olive branch offered by the Saudi club. The three-year deal with Bisidas will bring Chamberlain an annual salary of €2.5 million (HK$21.3 million), in addition to bonus incentives based on playing time.
