Arsenal FC recently made the high-profile announcement of welcoming Bintford's star goalkeeper David Laye on a short-term loan. The 27-year-old Spanish international is not only skilled on the ball, but also claims to be able to play in a variety of positions and seems to be leaving no stone unturned to show his versatility in order to earn more playing time.

Arsenal have reportedly paid Binford a loan fee of up to £3 million (about HK$30 million) and have the first right of refusal to buy out Laye for £27 million (about HK$270 million) next season. The 6-foot-1 David Laye played 39 games for Binford last season, including 12 shutouts, and made a total of 154 saves, topping all goalkeepers in the division.

In addition to his excellent goalkeeping skills, David Laye was confident after signing the contract that he has the ability to adapt to a number of positions: I tried my hand at roles other than goalkeeper during my time in the Spanish third division and have a track record of scoring goals. In addition, I'm often involved in five-a-side soccer, so now I'm also quite good at controlling the ball.
