It is reported that the two sides have agreed after some negotiations that McBarbie has promised not to move on as a free agent, which hints at the possibility of a contract extension, and has therefore been able to thaw the situation.
However, McBarbie, who previously refused to renew his contract and was rumored to be joining Real Madrid as a free agent next summer, was excluded from the club's pre-season training for the Asian tour, and failed to make the roster for the last round of Ligue 1 against Lorien Anthelm, and there was even talk that he could be snowed under for the entire season.
