French star and former Manchester United player, Shuni Darien, joined Turkish Super League side Goyer at the beginning of this month. However, the 33-year-old star's journey in Turkey lasted just nine days before he terminated his contract with Goyer for "family reasons" and returned to an unencumbered life.
Shunedarian played for Manchester United from seasons 15 to 17, but was a mediocre performer before being sold by United to Ewarton. He moved to Nice in France in 2020 and spent last season on loan at Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian Pro League. This summer, his contract expired and he joined Goyle as a free agent. He was expected to start a brand new career, but just nine days later, Goyer released a statement saying, "Shuni Darien, who announced he was joining us a short while ago, has expressed to the management his wish to leave the team for family reasons. After careful consideration, the club has decided to fulfill his wish and release him from his contract early."
