Just in the past season, Lashford made 56 appearances and scored 30 goals in his Manchester United campaign, setting a new personal record for the highest number of goals scored in a season. However, the 25-year-old England international admitted that he still needs to strengthen his left-foot technique and heading ability, which is an area he needs to focus on improving in the new season.
Rashford said, "I've always aspired to make a breakthrough in my heading and left-foot shooting skills, I jump faster than a lot of people and theoretically I should have more chances to score via headers." Statistics show that out of 17 Premier League goals last season, only three of Rashford's goals were scored via headers and the other three were left-footed, which explains why he is so eager to improve his goal-scoring ability in these two areas in order to set a new goal-scoring high in the new season.
