A very different style of showdown is about to take place, with Holland's attacking and defending skills clashing with Spain's dynamic soccer.

The Netherlands, despite giving a number of great performances on their way to the last eight, appeared to have a few holes in their backline in their 2-0 victory against South Africa in the round of 16. The 2019 Women's World Cup runners-up have an experienced backline with Wynda Gart and Sibis at the helm, but will still need support from two wingbacks, Berlouwer and Esme Burgess, to cope with Spain's multi-point attack.

In the midfield, Dani Yundi Dang and Gloria Leng have to be at their best to fend off the Spanish attack. And Jaeger Lott, who has already scored, will have to create threats in the corner and free kick plays.

Spain, on the other hand, had a rather smooth road to the Round of 16 with a 5-1 win over Switzerland. The team's overall strength is not bad, and the players are full of confidence in this year's tournament, striving to enter the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. Bommardi, who scored twice against Switzerland, will undoubtedly pose a huge challenge to the Dutch backline.

One of Spain's great strengths is their ability to finish from any position on the break. Jennifer Boots Mosu, Ebali Dandu and Esther Drysalis all have the ability to score, and it will be interesting to see if coach Velda will start Petenas.
