Recently, Chelsea's new midfielder Nicholas Negancourt suffered a knee injury in a warm-up match, and it was once feared that he might face several months of prolonged absence from the game. However, according to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old French international's injury is not serious and he is expected to return to action in September after only a few weeks' rest.

Nicholson joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of 52 million pounds (about HK$520 million) this summer. After joining Chelsea, Nicholson has quickly integrated into the team and has performed well in recent warm-up matches, scoring three goals already. In the last match against Dormont, Nygancu only played for 22 minutes before leaving the match due to injury. Initially, it was speculated that he might need to take a long time off due to the unknown extent of his knee injury, but now it seems that his time off will be limited to a few weeks.
