French star Binschmar, who moved from La Liga giants Real Madrid to Saudi Arabia rivals Ittihad as a free agent last month, finally made his debut for his new hosts in the early hours of Friday morning (28th). Binschmar lived up to the hype, not only contributing a key assist, but also scoring a spectacular world goal to help Ittihad beat Tunisia's Esperance 2-1 in Group A of the Arab Champions Cup.

Although Ittihad conceded a goal 26 minutes into the first half, the 35-year-old Binschmar quickly turned the game around with an impressive performance. In the 35th minute, he made a clever snapshot from inside the box and then sent in a precise cross for teammate Ana to grab the equalizer, making it 1-1. Just 10 minutes into the second half, the moment the fans had been waiting for came again, when Binschmar scored from the edge of the penalty area on the left with a precise right-footed shot into the far corner of the net, demonstrating the strength of the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner, who has been a shining light in Middle East matches.
