According to the Turkish media, after the successful introduction of Vefeet Shah, Galatasaray Football Club has ambitions to target Manchester United's "Brazilian mascot" - Fite. Sensing the strong interest of the other side, Manchester United agreed to reduce the transfer fee to 10 million pounds (about 100 million Hong Kong dollars).
Fite did not travel with United to the United States to participate in training, but stayed in England to prepare for transfer matters. Currently, the clubs in talks with United include not only Galatasaray and Fulham, but also a mysterious team from the Turkish Super League. The Daily Telegraph further noted that United originally expected to recoup £20 million from the sale of Fite, however, the market response was lukewarm and the price was eventually lowered to £10 million. In this price range, Galatasaray's bid looks particularly aggressive.
