Chelsea's pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moses Scarr is like a drama with ups and downs. Chelsea were rumored to have made a fourth olive branch offer on Friday (28), only to meet a surprise rejection with a transfer fee of £80 million (about HK$800 million). The Whiteleyton side insisted on a bottom line of at least 100 million pounds (about 1 billion Hong Kong dollars), which made the deal more and more tricky. Sources say Chelsea may have started to consider retreating to other prey due to the pressure.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea's £80 million offer was rejected without hesitation by Whiteleyton as soon as it was made. Despite the fact that Whiteleyton had previously made it clear that only £100 million would be seriously considered, Chelsea didn't give up and the first three offers of £60 million (about HK$600 million), £65 million (about HK$650 million) and £70 million (about HK$700 million) were met with a quick rebuff.

In the shifting winds of this deal, the mindsets and strategies of both sides are becoming more and more subtle, and Mosiska's future seems to be hanging by a thread.
