Following the signings of Mez and Busquets, InterMiami announced on Friday (21st) the signing of Jordi Alba to a two and a half year contract. The three former Barcelona teammates will now play in the USL together.
Zodi Ebba played for Barcelona for 11 years, becoming the team's third captain. He originally had one year left on his contract with Barcelona, but unconditionally terminated it after an agreement was reached between the two sides and joined the USMNT as a free agent. During his years at Barcelona, he won all the European trophies alongside Mes and Busquets. He often provided assists to Mes on the left side and became a big hitter for the team. Now, he is expected to recreate that offense in the USL.
It's worth noting that before International Maia Mi officially announced the addition of Zodi Aiba, the team had already enrolled him in the CONCACAF League Cup, and his name is already on the entry list for immediate action. Perhaps we'll soon witness a tacit collaboration between the three former Barcelona teammates.
