Man Utd have added another twist to their player transfer path, originally negotiating with Saudi Arabia's Ainas to transfer Alexis Dinis, but just as the deal was about to be finalized, Ainas suddenly changed their mind and cancelled the transfer. The reason for this was revealed to be that the other side had sensed the "shrewdness" of Manchester United and had turned to other targets.
Ainas' attraction to Alex Dinis has been a long time coming, and the negotiation between the two sides has entered a crucial stage, with United receiving a transfer fee of £4 million (about HK$40 million) with a floating clause, and the two sides have reached a verbal agreement. However, just recently, Ainas suddenly changed their mind because they found that United dealt with the transfer of Dinis for free in the European market, while they had to pay a high transfer fee, and therefore decided to terminate the deal.
Transfer expert Romano said that the deal ended in failure. According to reports, United could not take legal action against Ainas even if he reneged on the deal, as the two sides had only agreed verbally and had not signed any formal contract.
