International Miami team is expected to welcome back former Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez, following the signing of Mez and Busquets. According to ESPN, Suarez has sacrificed his 10 million annual salary (about HK$78 million) at Barcelona Liga side Gammeo in order to return to his old masters.
Suarez signed a two-year contract with Ganymede last December. However, the 36-year-old Uruguayan shot-stopper is eager to terminate his contract early and join the international Miami to reunite with the Mets. It is reported that "Bite Su" is willing to give up all his salary and bonuses in Gammeo, totaling up to 10 million dollars, in order to realize this dream.
This season, Suarez has appeared in 30 games for Gammeo, contributing 13 goals and 9 assists. The team is reluctant to lose this core player in the middle of the season, and it is expected that Suarez will not leave the team until at least after the end of the Barclays Premier League in December. If Inter Miami wants to sign Suarez quickly, it will need to pay up to 70 million euros (about 610 million Hong Kong dollars) in liquidated damages.
Despite International Maia Miami's difficulty in signing Suarez in the short term, the team is still expected to welcome more stars. Barcelona left back Zodi Ebba, whose contract expired this summer, is close to reaching an agreement with the team, and is expected to make a comeback with Mez and Busquets.
