According to the disclosure of the British media, Manchester United and Rashford successfully finalized the terms of the contract extension, the new contract will be extended to 2028, its weekly salary surged to as high as 375,000 pounds (about 3.83 million Hong Kong dollars), jumped to become the Premier League in the fourth-highest-paid players.

The Athletic has revealed that Rashford, who is in pre-season preparations with Manchester United, has agreed in principle to extend his contract by five years. The report states that Rashford remains firm in his choice to stay at United despite receiving high offers from other clubs in Europe and the Premier League.

Rashford has been playing soccer since he joined Manchester United's youth camp at the age of 7. He was officially promoted to the first team in 2016 and has made 359 appearances and scored 123 goals so far. Last season, he made 56 appearances for the team, contributing 30 goals and 11 assists, helping the team win the EFL Cup and return to the Europa League, and his performance was undoubtedly an indispensable force for the team.

The Daily Mail reports that Rashford was expected to see a slight increase in his salary to £250,000 a week, however in the end his weekly wage spiked to £375,000, equivalent to the previous salary level of Diego Silva. With Silva's departure, that salary became Rashford's for the taking. And plans for United to restructure their payroll have thus become elusive.
