In the last season of the English Premier League, Southampton unfortunately relegated, and England international midfielder Woetepes was exposed as possibly leaving the team, but the transfer rumors are still pending. In a warm-up match on Sunday (16th), Southampton challenged Turkey's Göztepe team away from home, and Woteps staged a "twelve-yard feast", which led many netizens to speculate that the "penalty kick expert" might not be in the mind of Southampton anymore.
However, after only 26 minutes of play, Southampton fell behind. Early in the second half, the team won a penalty kick, and the "penalty taker", Woteps, took the penalty, but accidentally shot a difficult curling shot that went over the top! Luckily for Southampton, a goal from Carruthers Ekalas leveled the scores to end the game in a 1-1 draw.
