As Jordan Henderson is in talks to join Saudi powerhouse Ittifaq, Liverpool's other central midfielder, Fabinho, has also come up against the covetousness of another Saudi giants. The Etihad have made an astronomical £40 million (HK$400 million) offer to try and poach the 29-year-old Brazil international from Liverpool.

Liverpool have already brought in two midfielders in the summer transfer window in Alex McAlexander and Subos Lal, and are planning to bring in Romeo Olavia further. However, Fabinho is a key player in the team and has three years left on his contract with the Reds. If he suddenly leaves the team, it will have a huge impact on the team.

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have begun to gather for training and plan to travel to Germany for a training session afterwards. However, the Saudi team's tapping attack has intensified, with new news coming out every day. Despite this, the team and the players themselves have not yet responded clearly to the rumors. However, the Saudi team's offer is so high that Jordan Henderson's weekly salary from Ittifaq has soared from £190,000 to £700,000, making it difficult for Fabinho to remain unmoved by the lure of such a huge deal.
