In the world of soccer, gambling violations have emerged like a tsunami, and in May, Binford striker Evan Tony was heavily fined and suspended for up to eight months by the English FA for allegedly betting on football. However, this is not an isolated case, as the FA unraveled another gambling scandal on Thursday (13), accusing Nottingham Forest left-back Khalitov Road of 375 betting offenses between 2014 and 2017, and facing a lengthy suspension if convicted.
Khalitov Road, 27, played for Hattersfield before moving to Nottingham Forest. But it is the three years he played for Norwich that are the subject of this charge. The English FA has asked Khalitovlu to respond to the charges by July 19th. Meanwhile, Evendoni had previously been charged with 262 betting offenses, 30 of which were dropped. The sentence was eventually reduced to an eight-month suspension as Evendoni pleaded guilty to the charges.
