In the last minute of the transfer window, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) completed three major reinforcements in one go, namely the signings of Real Madrid's wing-quick horse Gaucho Ascencio, Sporting's core player Vinyl Ugadi and Inter Milan's center-back Stefania. These moves are aimed at improving the team's front, midfield and defense in order to cushion the impact of the possible departure of core player Kilian McBarbee.

Of the three new signings, both Marko Assinsio and Stefania joined PSG as free agents, saving the club a significant amount of money on transfer fees. Marko Acincio has signed a three-year contract with PSG, earning a whopping €10 million (HK$85.9 million) a year. The 27-year-old Spanish international, who played for Real Madrid for nine years, winning three Champions League titles among other honors, is capable of playing in a number of positions up front, and PSG expects Marko Acincio to fill the void left by Lionel Messi's departure.

And 28-year-old Slovakia international Stjenja, who decided to join PSG in January, has signed a five-year deal with the team, just in time to replace departing veteran Sergio Ramos.
