In a flourish on Monday (3), Liverpool have officially announced the signing of Hungarian starlet Szuboszlár. The 22-year-old midfielder will move from RB Leipzig to Liverpool for five years for a transfer fee of £60 million (approximately HK$600 million). He will wear the No. 8 kit and there is a moving story behind the choice. Suboslal revealed that he has a tattoo on his arm engraved with classic quotes from Liverpool legend Sherratt, and it was the legend's influence that led him to choose the No. 8 shirt.
In an interview with Liverpool's official website, Suboslar fondly said, "Liverpool is a soccer club with a long history of great players, coaches, stadiums and fans, everything here is outstanding and perfect for me to take the next step in my career." When asked why he chose the No. 8 shirt, Suboslar smiled and replied, "I have Sherratt's words tattooed on my arm and that was the answer! Although I didn't watch many games as a child, whenever I watched the UEFA Europa League matches, Sherratt was always one of those greatest players."
