Brentford FC officially announced the signing of promising star Kim Ji-soo from South Korea's K2 League side Seongnam Ilhwa on Monday (26). The 18-year-old, known as "the new Kim Min-Ja," joins the club on a four-year plus one-year contract. Kim will play for the B team when he first joins Brentford, but scouts are excited about his future and believe he will soon be promoted to the first team. The director of Brentford has even praised him, calling him a "super rookie".
It's worth noting that Kim Ji-soo, who shares her name with Jisoo, a member of the girl idol group Blackpink, stands at 5'92" and is just as star-studded in South Korean soccer. She led the South Korean U20 national team all the way to the quarterfinals at last year's World Youth Championship. Her outstanding physical fitness and superb skills, similar to the style of Kim Min Jae, have made her the center of competition among European clubs. With the excellent operation, Binford finally succeeded in bringing this new star into the fold.
