Maccabi Tel Aviv FC has officially unveiled that former Irish soccer superstar Robbie Keane has been named the team's new head coach, with both sides signing a two-year deal. The soccer veteran, who has been working as an assistant coach since his retirement, will usher in a brand new challenge in his career in the new season.

Robbie Keane, 42, has played for such notable clubs as Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and LA Galaxy.After announcing his retirement from football in 2018, he made a quick transition into coaching, having served as an assistant coach for Ireland, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United. Despite Leeds United failing to successfully defend their title in this season's competition, Robbie Keane has quickly found a new job opportunity following his departure with Eddie Howe.
