Today, the Blues officially unveiled that they have formally brought in RB Leipzig's young attacking core, Nyganymede, on a six-year deal. According to insiders, the total cost of the deal is up to 60 million euros (equivalent to about HK$510 million). Meanwhile, the team's defensive midfielder Nicolou Gendi has confirmed his move to Saudi Arabia's Ittihad, ushering in an out-and-out drama in the transfer market for the French international.

Recall that during last year's World Cup, Chelsea reached a preliminary agreement with RB Leipzig to bring in Nygancourt, and now the acquisition was officially finalized in the summer. The talented 25-year-old Frenchman is a versatile player who can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a wing forward and striker, and is expected to inject new life into Chelsea's forward line with 70 goals in 172 appearances during his four years at RB Leipzig.

I'm very happy to be a member of Chelsea, and I can't wait to meet my new coach and teammates, and I'll be able to give back to the fans with my performance on the field," said Nicholson at the joining ceremony. The addition of Nicholson may also lead to Chelsea's purge of Masonmont and Xaviers in the attacking midfield position.
