Recently, the ex-girlfriend of Manchester United's Brazilian winger Anthony Maffeos called the police in Brazil to reveal that she had been subjected to repeated violent abuse by Anthony over the past year. In a recent interview with the Brazilian media, Gabriela Cavallin, the victim, described in detail the domestic violence suffered, including being "smashed in the sternum", imprisoned and threatened with death. Even Anthony's mother had to hire a psychiatrist to treat her son, and Gabriela said her next step would be to travel to the United Kingdom to file a lawsuit.
In an interview with Brazil's RecordTV, Gabriela revealed the first time she was abused: he grabbed my hand on the bed and hit me so hard that the implant in my chest shifted and I could barely breathe and felt like my life was in danger, and she also said that Anthony threatened to kill her baby if she broke up with him.
