After Manchester City successfully defended their Premier League title, Sunday night's (21st) home match against Chelsea turned into a celebration. The game ended with the awards ceremony. Axel Erlanga, who scored 36 goals this season, was rightfully the center of attention at the gala. As he held up the trophy, his teammates surrounded him and sprayed him with champagne, and Erlanga proudly said, "I'm very happy to have achieved this in my first season at Manchester City!"

After Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0, the home fans flooded the ground and celebrated so wildly that the City players had to retreat to the dressing room for a short break. They then returned to the field once again for the championship presentation ceremony. After the presentation, the whole team stayed on the field to continue the party, with the players taking pictures with the championship trophy one by one. When Erlanga was photographed, a group of teammates grabbed champagne and "washed his hair", with Keir Walker chasing him and spraying him with it.
