Last night, his poor performance in his team's 1-4 loss to Newcastle caused widespread criticism in the local media, and even the status of the "King of the Three Balls" is suspected to be shaken.
In response to the game, the SussexLive website gave Kaoru Mitonabashi a rating of just 5, commenting, "Brighton were unable to withstand Newcastle's onslaught in the first half, with Kaoru Mitonabashi looking very tired as he was barely able to get on the end of the ball." And the Sussex World website also gave him just 6 out of 10, with the review noting, "It was rare to see him go one-on-one with Jebbia, and although he was a definite threat in possession, it didn't happen often enough, and the whole game looked rather dull."
