Arsenal Football Club recently came up with some serious news, announcing that they have extended goalkeeper Lansdale's contract for another four years. The 25-year-old England international is finally getting his due after two years of steady improvement on the ball. It is reported that his weekly salary will soar to £120,000 (about HK$1.16 million) from the original £60,000, a doubling.

It is worth mentioning that Lansdal joined Arsenal from Siffield United two years ago for a transfer fee of £30 million (about HK$290 million), and at that time, the outside world did not expect much from his performance. However, the 1 meter 88 tall man proved himself with practical actions. In his first season, he contributed to a 14-game shutout for the team, and this season's performance is even more like God's help, repeatedly staged thrilling saves. Last month, against Liverpool, he was honored with the Premier League's April Save of the Month award for his diving save on Mohamed Shalah's shot.
