This season, Liverpool's record has not been satisfactory. Dawounounis, who joined the club for 85 million pounds (about HK$837 million), has not lived up to expectations, contributing only nine goals in 29 league matches so far. However, the 23-year-old shot-stopper recently revealed that he has been known as a "slow starter", and as he adapts to his new surroundings this season, he is confident that he will explode next season.

Davuniunis is top notch in terms of speed and positioning, but has a frustrating grasp of the shot. He said, "I have a lot of things to improve on, like shooting technique. However, something similar has happened with Suarez, whose second season has only begun to see a big breakthrough." Suarez scored four and 11 Premier League goals in his first season and a half at Liverpool, but then went on a 54-goal spree in the following two seasons.

It's worth noting that despite his current lackluster performance, Dhaunenius' potential cannot be ignored. Just like Suarez, he may be able to shine next season as long as he finds a rhythm that suits him.
