The rift between Argentine soccer superstar, Misi, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is getting deeper and deeper. According to revelations by French media outlets such as La Gazzetta, the 35-year-old striker recently left the team without authorization to travel to Saudi Arabia to serve as the country's tourism ambassador, a move that angered PSG management, who decided to impose a two-week "triple suspension" on Misi, suspending him from the team, from training, and from his paycheck.

It was reported that Mace had secretly traveled to Saudi Arabia without the club's permission to "make money" and missed training on Monday (1) as a result. The club reacted swiftly on Tuesday (2) by imposing a 'three suspensions', which will see him miss the next two Ligue 1 matches against Troyes and Ajaccio.

Given that there are still five rounds of Ligue 1 left in the season and only three games left for Mays to play for PSG, the team newspaper is outright suggesting that his career at PSG could be coming to an end and he is expected to leave when his contract expires this summer.

PSG had demanded a lower salary from Mays, leading to a stalemate in the contract renewal talks between the two sides. In addition, since the World Cup, PSG fans have frequently booed Mays during matches, ostensibly out of frustration with his performance, but which may hide a deeper personal grudge stemming from the fact that he led Argentina to victory over France in the World Cup final.
