Both Brisbane Roar and FC Sydney have been on a roll in the second half of the season, and the status quo is not to be underestimated. I'm sure both teams will be eager to extend their winning streaks into this match.
Looking back at the Brisbane Lions' battle with Wellington Phoenix, the team took an early lead only to be on the back foot at one point in the second half. I have witnessed numerous teams opting to give up at crucial moments, especially those who are behind in the league standings in the top six playoff positions. However, keeper Scagnoli stepped up late in the game with a crucial goal to tie the game and help his team walk away with a point, which was certainly a valuable takeaway.
I attribute the goal to the team's confident mentality, coupled with the outstanding performance of James Osha, who has scored six goals in his last six league games. Given his hot form, FC Sydney's defense will have to be on their toes to stop him from scoring another goal and achieving the feat of scoring in seven consecutive games.
The Brisbane Roar's defense can't afford to let up, as they're about to face England striker Joe Fong, who has been in hot form lately. The striker has scored five goals in his last six matches and has once again become the soul of FC Sydney's offense. Zuruli also scored against Perth Glory in the last round of the league, and I believe he is also capable of shaping the game in this match. His individual skills and ability to adapt to a variety of playing styles will certainly make him a great challenge for the opponents.
Given the excellent play of Fonzou and Zuruli, I predict that FC Sydney are expected to win this game to move further up the league table and closer to a top six playoff spot.
