In the early hours of Wednesday morning (26th), a Premier League match took place at the home of Ashton Villa. With a brilliant long-distance shot from midfielder Tyrone Mings, Villa narrowly beat Fulham 1-0 and moved up to the fifth place in the table, surpassing Tottenham Hotspur with one game less. Villa have won 13 league matches since Amery took over as manager at the beginning of November last year, making them one of the most victorious teams in the Premier League in that time, alongside leaders Arsenal.

Tyrone Mings scored the only goal of the match with a header in only the 21st minute, the 30-year-old England international's first goal of the season, helping Villa gain momentum with eight wins and two draws in their last 10 league matches.

Villa finished 14th in the league at the beginning of November last year, and Emery replaced Gaspar Serrat as the new manager and has given the team a new look. He beat Manchester United in his first game and has helped Villa win 13 Premier League matches so far, rivaled only by Arsenal in the same period.

After the game, Emeli said that the team's goal is to win the next European qualification: It is our dream to play in Europe and we are going to try to make this dream come true. I like to play under pressure and to face crucial matches.

With five league games remaining in the season against Manchester United, Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and White Leighton, it's safe to say that one tough battle after another awaits Ashton Villa.
