While the UEFA Europa League campaign came to an end last week, Shadi Oweni was in the spotlight for a violent clash. The Senegalese striker's post-match assault on Lileksini forced Bayern Munich to take an internal ban against him. According to revelations in the German media, Vinnie paid a record fine of 300,000 euros (about HK$2.58 million) for the incident, and although the storm is gradually subsiding, the relationship between Liverpool and Vinnie seems to have developed an irreparable rift. Former Liverpool hosts Golimoa even publicly called on Liverpool senior management to reconsider signing back to Vinny.

Vinny, 31, joined Bayern from Liverpool for a €32 million transfer fee last summer, and despite contributing 11 goals and 5 assists in 32 appearances, his performances have not lived up to expectations. With the team's recent turmoil, Ducao has taken over as head coach from Nacho Sven, who was banned internally and fined 300,000 euros after losing his temper during last week's Europa League defeat against Manchester City, hitting teammate Lilezzini and injuring the other teammate.

It was reported that Vinny assaulted Lilezini because the other player attacked him with insulting language, and there was even a joke within Bayern that said, "We didn't sign Liverpool's Vinny, but his twin brother." After this incident, it is widely believed that Vinny is likely to be sold by Bayern this summer.

Vinny's move to Bayern didn't seem to go as well as he had hoped, and Liverpool have had a much worse season since losing Vinny. Golimo's appeal seems to have given Liverpool a ray of hope that they need to seriously consider how to bring Vinny back into the team.
