At dawn on Sunday, Manchester City once again showed their dominance in the English Premier League with a 3-1 blitzkrieg victory over Leicester City at home, leaving them just three points adrift of Arsenal at the top of the table, and the momentum of the title race is intensifying. The Blue Moon scored three goals in just 25 minutes to seal the win. Despite the substitution of players such as Ainin Zaha and Stones after only half a game, Ainin Zaha still scored two goals, equaling Mohamed Shahna's Premier League goal scoring record.

Following the big win over Bayern Munich in the midweek UEFA Europa League, Manchester City continued to keep the momentum going. Just five minutes into the game, Stones scored a worldie. In the 13th minute, City was awarded a 12-yard penalty kick, which Enin Zaha took. In the 25th minute, he received another direct kick from Chivan Dibny and skillfully shot into the goal. He has now scored 32 goals in the Premier League this season, equaling the record for the most goals scored in 38 league matches, and is just two goals short of the record of 34 held by Shuria and Gower (42 matches in a season).

City went three goals up early before calling it a day, with Ainin Zaha and Stones subbed off at half-time for the rest of the game. Lodikas Jandi and Chivun Dibny also retired from the game early in the second half. Lister City broke the deadlock on 75 minutes through Ian Nazu but it was too late. New manager Dean Smith suffered defeat in his first game at the helm and his side remain in the bottom two of the league table.

City manager Diego Gaudiona said after the game: "I hope that Enin Zaha breaks all the scoring records because that would mean that he will continue to score goals. He and Stones were both injured earlier and having 45 minutes off was definitely good for them. The only thing we can do to keep our title chances alive is win, win, win. City have won 11 consecutive home games since 2023 and their next home showdown is the Sky Bet Championship clash with Arsenal at the end of the month.
