In the early Premier League match, Manchester United started a fierce battle with Ewarton at home. Despite a number of missed chances by the strikers, McDonald and Anthony Martial scored a goal each in the first and second halves, helping the "Red Devils" to win all three points with a score of 2-0, and realize their second consecutive victory in the league.

Manchester United have made tactical changes to face the upcoming Europa League last 8 first leg against Xavier. Warani has been withdrawn and captain Harry Magouni returns to the starting lineup, with Lauki Suhr missing out due to injury and Duvel Malacia filling in at left wing. Weghese was relegated from starting striker to the bench, with Rashford the single arrowhead and Shabisa partnering Chaton Sinzu and Anthony Mafios in the attacking center.

The game was played at an open tempo for both teams, with United attacking aggressively and EWU not retreating as a team. Quick counter-attacks by juniors Alisons and DiMaregre exposed a number of gaps in the United back line. United had four great scoring chances in the opening moments, including one-touch goals from Rashford and Anthony Mafios, as well as a shot from Anthony Mafios that hit the post and a shot from Yumbi Shaka that was parried by the opposing goalkeeper.

However, United's forward teammates were wasting chances like crazy in the game. It wasn't until the 36th minute that McTomini calmly slotted the ball into Bickford's ten fingers after a pinpoint direct pass from Chaton Sinzu to give United the lead and a 1-0 halftime score.

At the beginning of the second half, Coach Tanhag replaced Anthony Mathias with Anthony Madill. This substitution paid off quickly, as Anthony Madill scored a "swallows" goal in the 71st minute off a sublime pass from Rashford to increase the lead to 2-0, and late in the game, United brought on the long-suffering Kristian Ericsson to secure the win.
