Although Manchester United has improved slightly this season, it is still far from the two favorites of the Premier League, Arsenal and Manchester City. According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United manager Teng Haag plans to carry out a large-scale reform of the team this summer, intending to clean 13 players, while strengthening five key positions, of which the primary goal is to acquire the 18-year-old Brighton shot-stopper Ivan Ferguson, who is known as the "new Ronnie".

It is reported that Ten Hag believes that in order to compete for the Premier League title next season, at least one striker, one midfielder, one center back, one right back and one goalkeeper need to be brought in, and the transfer fee will undoubtedly be quite substantial. In order to avoid violating the fair financial regulations, Manchester United need to dispose of some of their existing players first.

That list of purges is 13 long and involves strikers Anthony Martial and Erlanga, midfielders McTominay and Windich, defenders Dalot, Harry Magouni, Phil Jones, Banton and Williams, as well as center backs Elliott and Duane Hilby, who are currently out on loan, left back Alisson Dines and goalkeeper Dane Henderson.

If the players can be successfully disposed of, United will be able to raise a huge amount of money for reinforcements. Ten Hag is most interested in bringing in a goalscorer to replace underperforming loanee Weghorst. Although he is rumored to be interested in acquiring Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, the England international is about to turn 30 and is expensive, so signing him may not be the best option.

As a result, Ten Hagar has set his sights on Ewan Ferguson. The 18-year-old Irish international has been in stunning form this season, scoring eight goals in 18 games for Brighton and also scoring against Latvia in an international warm-up match last month. Ewan Ferguson has been dubbed the "new Ronny" as he idolizes Manchester United star Ronny and both have become famous at a young age.

Ten Hag believes Ewan Ferguson has the potential to be another Ronny in the future. Currently, Brighton are struggling to extend Ewan Ferguson's contract and it won't be easy for United to want the starlet.

United are also planning to acquire Leverkusen's 22-year-old Dutch starlet Shelly Meffelingbom, a former City youth team trainee who is interested in a return to England and would mean a further Dutchization of the squad if he were to join United.
