At 2:45 a.m. on March 28th, in the midst of a spring night, the Netherlands wrote a brilliant chapter of victory in the Euro qualifying round of Group B by beating Gibraltar with an absolute 3-0 victory like lightning.
In the 23rd minute of the match, the tide turned as Dumfries cleverly sent in a precise cross and Depay broke through with a header just in the nick of time to give the Dutch the first break in the deadlock and a 1-0 lead.
