Argentina's legendary "King" Mez has become a national hero after winning the World Cup. However, it is shocking that he was recently terrorized by bandits. On Thursday (2), a supermarket owned by the family of his wife, Logosso, was shot at by gunmen, who even left a note at the scene threatening Mez.
The supermarket is located in Mays' hometown of Rosario. At 2 a.m. Thursday, CCTV surveillance footage showed two bandits arriving outside the supermarket on a motorcycle and firing at least six shots into the iron gates, according to Argentine media reports. They left a handwritten threatening message on a bag of charcoal: "Mace, we're waiting for you, Javkin (Rosario's mayor) is a drug dealer, he can't protect you." Local TV stations analyzed the bandits' move as a possible attempt to extort a large sum of money from Mez.
