Tickets sold out instantly on Sunday, the deciding day of the Premier League Cup, as Manchester United and Newcastle battled it out. Who would have thought that a final would become a farce? Newcastle's loyal fan Carlin became the protagonist of the tragedy, his two tickets for the final were mistakenly bitten to pieces by his pet dog Rudy, and he decided to sell his dog at a very low price under the pain.

Karin originally received the tickets by courier, but Rudy became hostile to the sudden "invasion" and decided that the mail had infringed on his territory, so he attacked. When Karin arrived at the scene, she saw that the tickets had been chewed to pieces, and it was only after she barely managed to piece them together that she recognized them as the remains of the tickets.

Speaking about the incident, Carlin said, "I've just watched Newcastle go down at home to Liverpool, their first home defeat of the season and a red card for goalkeeper Nick Purby. I think Rudy probably thought biting the ticket would make me happy and now I've decided to sell it for £5."

In fact, Carlin had every opportunity to regain his tickets, simply by explaining the situation clearly to officials. And, with the popularity of e-tickets, this fan would have been able to get in to the game without a problem, even without a physical ticket.
