Tottenham Hotspur climbed above Newcastle to fourth place in the Premier League with a 2-0 home win over Westham on Monday (20). With only seven points separating the fourth and ninth places, the game is rapidly changing.

The campaign snowballed South Korean striker Son Heung-min, but he had a great game, getting a precise assist from his best mate, Halikani, to end a month-and-a-half-long Premier League goal drought.

Assistant coach Stelliani was appointed on a temporary basis while coach Dryland recuperated after completing gall bladder surgery. The in-form Son Heung-min was relegated to the bench and the vacant spot was taken by Lee Tsaritsyn. However, the first half was uneventful for both sides until the 56th minute, when Tottenham's side played a surprisingly quiet game, with right-back Amazon deftly connecting with a cross from left-back Bin Davies to make it 1-0.

In the 68th minute, Son Heung-min was brought on, and he and Khalilani quickly ignited the game. 72 minutes in, Khalilani sent a deadly direct ball from the middle of the field, and Son Heung-min skillfully broke through the offside and scored for the 45th time in their Premier League careers together. Heung-min made his 22nd assist for Khalilani, while Khalilani returned the favor with his 23rd assist for Son Heung-min, a new Premier League scoring record for the two.

Son Heung-min last scored in the league in January, but Stelliani denied that it was due to a lack of confidence that he was put on the bench: "After the World Cup, players are sometimes not at their best, and it was a difficult decision to put Son Heung-min on the bench, but we had to do it because Lee Tsaritsyn has made a full recovery, and we still have a lot of matches ahead of us to face."
