PSG started the game on a strong note, with Kilian McBarbie and Nima each scoring a goal in 17 minutes to take a 2-0 lead. But then Lille mounted a furious comeback, scoring three goals in a row to go back in front. However, PSG came back in the dying moments, with Kilian McBarbie equalizing three minutes before the end of the game and Mace scoring a hat-trick in stoppage time to help PSG to a thrilling 4-3 win.
More worryingly, Nima was carried off the field with an injury early in the second half, and initial tests showed a sprained right ankle, fortunately without a fracture. However, he will undergo further tests over the next two days to determine if there is ligament damage.
