England's former top player, Gisdian Esu, has not been heard from since the tragic earthquake in Turkey. However, just last Saturday (18), his agent suddenly delivered the sad news, confirming that Ezeilo was tragically killed in the disaster at the age of 31.
While announcing the sad news, Esu's agent, Murat Uzummeht, said that Esu's body has been found. The Turkish Football Association also issued a statement expressing its condolences to Esu and sending its sympathies to his family, relatives, friends, fans and the clubs he used to play for. Esu's former owners, Chelsea Football Club, also posted a message on social media expressing their condolences for Esu's passing.
Since the earthquake in Turkey, Aysel has lost contact with the outside world. During this time, there were reports that Aysel had been rescued, but this was later confirmed to be a misrepresentation. It was not until recently that Aysel's body was recovered.
Aisu represented Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and was active in England's top flight, the Premier League, between 2013 and 2021, playing for clubs such as Chelsea, Everton, Bolton, and Newcastle. He then moved to the Saudi League and recently joined Turkish club Hatta Spor. He was reported to have scored in a match before he was killed.
