A 1-1 draw with Binford at home has once again cast a shadow over the title race. However, the focus of this controversy is not the score, but the details of the referee's enforcement. Brentford's goal was suspected to be "double offside", but after the first offside controversy, the VAR had "amnesia" for the second, more critical image, which could have had a negative impact on the game.

A controversy resurfaced eight minutes later. A header from Binford Ayuntoni leveled the scores, but Binnock, who was in an offside position, blocked the center midfielder in the process, and VAR referee Lee Mee-sun decided that this did not affect the game and controversially ruled that the goal had been scored. There was ambiguity as to whether or not the goal was "match-fixing", and even more incredibly, Kirsten Lorgat was also offside when she assisted on the ensuing goal, but the VAR "forgot" to draw a line, and the two teams ended up shaking hands at 1-1.
Keith Fowle, a representative of Professional Referees UK (PGMOL), who was in the VAR room during the match, confirmed the oops to the Daily Mail, "VAR was reviewing whether Binnock was offside and whether there was any blocking of an opponent, as well as looking at whether there was any foul play. In the end it was deemed that there was no clear error. However, with regard to the assist by Kirstian Lorgat from an offside position, Mason Lee just skimmed through it quickly and forgot to draw the line, if he had done so the goal would have been offside, which is a human error."
The referee who specializes in VAR, Mason Lee, has a long history of being suspended at one point this season after two of his decisions were confirmed as misjudgments by PGMOL. Among the two misjudgments were
