A much-anticipated Premier League clash is set to take place on Merseyside at the crack of dawn on Thursday (14th), with Liverpool hosting Ewarton. It is worth noting that the new Dragons coach Dyche had a clash with Liverpool leader Gopper two years ago, so the matchup is full of tension. Dyche is not happy with Liverpool's performance this season, and he said he will not sympathize with Gopper, although he feels the same way, but he thinks it is a problem that every coach may encounter.

Back in January 2021 in the Premier League, Dyche, who was still the leader of the Bonny Boys, was leading his team to challenge Liverpool away from home, and during the half-time break, he entered the players' tunnel and had a heated argument with Gopper. Dyche, who was about to set foot in the Anfield Stadium again, recalled the incident: In fact, it was just an exchange of words between the two managers for the benefit of their respective teams, and had no other meaning. The fans wanted to see both skippers do what was right for the teams they belonged to, and I think it was all over when the game was over.

Bonny won that game in a 1-0 blowout, and Dyche, in an effort to avoid inflaming the fans, did not reveal the exact cause of the argument between the two men, but only lightly mentioned that Gopp had teased him about his bad jacket, and so he retaliated.

Talking about Liverpool's poor results this season, resulting in Gopper under great pressure, Dyche said: I will not sympathize with Gopper, only empathy, and he does not need my sympathy. My attention is focused on Ewarton. It's worth noting that Dyche beat table-topping Arsenal 1-0 on his debut at Ewarton, ending the team's run of four consecutive defeats, and the 51-year-old manager really has a lot to live up to.
